Since Velcro is not as durable as leather, these types will most likely break down faster than any other type if you train with them often enough but they’re still good enough quality that they can be used for sparring if necessary.  They also tend to be cheaper than the leather belt types so it may be worth getting one if you plan on training more often than twice per week (especially if it’s your first time doing so).

This makes it easier for you to wear it because there is no part sticking out from under your pants and you can adjust it to fit snugly around your waist with less slack in the belt. However, these types are not made from leather so they won’t last as long as the leather belt types if you use them often enough (especially if you train with them more than twice per week).
